Lajuma is located in the Mist-Belt forests of the Western Soutpansberg. The highest point on the Soutpansberg range is on the property. Sunnyside camp provides rustic, self-catering accommodation in total isolation, off-grid and with never-ending views. The area is only accessible by high clearance vehicles and 4x4 vehicles. Kindly note that it is a steep gravel road, the journey will take approximately 45 minutes and is not advised to after dark.
The Lajuma Research Centre is an internationally acclaimed research institute that caters for post graduate researchers from Europe, Britain and the USA. Several long-term research projects on leopard, primates and many other types of fauna and flora is ongoing and guests are welcome to interact with the researchers.
Situated in Vivo in the Limpopo region, Lajuma Lodge features accommodation with free private parking. The property has mountain views.
With a private bathroom fitted with a shower, units at the farm stay also feature free WiFi, while selected rooms also boast a terrace. At the farm stay, units include bed linen and towels.
The nearest airport is in Polokwane, which is roughly 100km away from Lajuma.
The lodge provides an amazing opportunity for friends and family to visit and experience days in the field, helping out with a project or simply just to relax and experience nature and the uniqueness of the Lajuma RC.
With many waterfalls on the property, beautiful hikes, animals and in general being surrounded by nature there is always something to experience.
The available rooms at Sunnyside contain a room with 1 double bed and one room with 2 single beds. They are self catering and have a kitchen, toilet, towels, private bathroom, view, terrace, refrigerator, wardrobe or closet, shower, linen, mountain view, toilet paper, dining area, kitchenware and a communal barbecue area. If you do not posses a vechile that is able to drive up the mountain, we are always prepared to pick you up at the bottom of the mountain/ Louis Trichardt for an additional fee.
